IT’S TIME TO GROW
I Corinthians 12:12
PART I
If the head breaks down everything else in the body becomes off track!
We must have a concept of what makes the body work, we must think as one body.
In order for the body to function, all parts must work together.
Movement in membership is movement in the body!
Your attitude has an impact on the entire body. If your lungs decide not to work the entire body will shut down.
We must ensure that members take responsibility and walk in the spirit of excellence.
Psalm 133:1 and 2 Speaking on dwelling in unity and how pleasant and good it is for the members.
The church is access to the kingdom, you have access to greater than what you see here. You must have higher expectations because the church is the gateway to the kingdom. If you want to get to heavenly places you must go through the church. It starts with us!
Refuse to celebrate normality, only celebrate excellence! Don’t settle until every person in the earth is serving God to the fullest.
Teaching starts at the head and runs down.
Unity is not top down but bottom up.

PART II
The body needs cooperation from all members in order to work (1 Corinthians 12:13)
1 Corinthians 12:15  If the foot shall say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; it is therefore not of the body?
In GOD’s eyes everyone is significant, we must know who we are and be confident about what God has placed in us! How can we compare something that is unique!
Psalms 118:23 Everything the Lord does is marvellous! You can't duplicate what God does! YOU CAN’T DUPLICATE UNIQUE! We are similar but not exactly the same! We miss it because we spend the rest of our lives trying to change who we are.
Make the declaration “I am marvellous”.......when you get marvellous in your mind and mouth, things in your life become marvelous.
The first stage to deliverance is not caring about people’s opinion of you!
Prayer is the first move in the membership! A praying church is a powerful church!
Basics of Christianity…...must grow in prayer and the word of God!  The word must be in your head and heart as well! David said thy word have I hid in my heart, so I may not sin against you.

PART III
2nd Timothy 3: 16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God….profitable for doctrine.
The enemy will attack people who don't have the word of GOD, because when you have no word, you have no stability in your life!
No structure of word, means you are easy to deceive, discourage, easy to take off track. The word becomes the platform for your life.
If God were to show us an xray of our spirit, we would look anorexic. We have to give our spirit the same diet (food=word) as we feed our souls!
Romans 10:17  So then Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God!
You will never grow in your faith without the word of God! Many are spiritually asleep during the word! Wake up!
People want (a now word) so much that they miss the prophetic (what is to come). Mary RECEIVED THE Prophetic WORD BEFORE JESUS WAS BORN, BUT DID NOT SEE THE MANIFESTATION OF THE THING UNTIL JESUS WAS 33.
WHAT YOU ARE CALLED TO DO IS NOT BASED UPON WHAT PEOPLE THINK BUT WHAT GOD SAID ABOUT YOU!
The word of God makes your faith grow! We pray to know the will of God but we study to get an understanding of who God is!
An army must function and operate under a plan or strategy.
If you want your faith to go to the next level, get in the word of GOD!
Don’t let your bible take you to court and sue you for neglect! If your bible could talk, what would it say about you?

OVERSEER’S HEARTS DESIRE IS TO SEE THE MEMBERSHIP COME TOGETHER!

Reference Scriptures: Matthew 25: 35

IT’S A SEASON THING NOT A CHURCH THING
IT’S A KINGDOM THING NOT A CHURCH THING

Prayer works because it changes the plans of the enemy!
You can absolutely be in the church but not in the kingdom of GOD!
It’s a Growth Season, sinners are about to be saved.
How do we access church? We  go after souls...we should never just be satisfied with the appetizer but the main meal. Souls coming in and out of church is not the goal, but souls being saved, sanctified and filled with the holy ghost.
Its time to grow and go to the next level! We are not a club but a soul saving station.
The question is Do we qualify to be a church?
Are we reaching out to people that are in need of JESUS?
It’s Not the worship, but the outcome of the church, not the income.
Worship is not the problem, its WORK-SHIP that is the concern.
As ministry is built, we need to pay attention to Matthew 25:35-37

We have  A greater work to do in regard to soul winning
God’s kingdom is orderly and the church should flow orderly as well.

IT’S TIME TO GROW…..

We should not be talking about church growth if the people in the congregation are not growing.
It’s about External and Internal growth...we need to take authority over our own personal growth. We are not a dead church, we are a growing church, we are a praying church!

It’s time we directly deal and examine who we are within not without….God is always looking within you, not at others. You must take the thing (whatever that is) out your own eye first and then you will be able to assist others!

There are Basic Principles that must be established before you can grow, it’s called CONSISTENCY  Luke 6:46

We must get Consistent about our Work-Ship

Why call me Lord, Lord and do not the things GOD commands?
Why lift me on high and disobey the very principles of God?

We must be reset, in the spirit realm, so God can be pleased with us.

Stop calling me Lord If you are not going to do the things that God has asked. Walk in the word and revival will begin. Don’t call me Lord unless I am Lord of your life.
Personal and Individual growth….the total is the sum of its parts...don't expect total growth unless all the parts are growing.

We Must take a hard look at ourselves...what is it that I must do to be the best person I can be for GOD!
First Key is prayer….why call me Lord, Lord and you don’t even pray…..prayer becomes the consistent behavior of people who recognize that Jesus is Lord.
We must be on one accord in prayer, because it is in prayer that GOD gives us the opportunity to talk to him. There is a window of time to speak with God. Often times we stand God up, that's why we have not seen blessings and miracles.

Old Church experienced many more miracles because they prayed and fasted often or consistently!!!!!

The spirit of GOD calls revival, the power of God drives revival, not human beings.
In order to get closer to God, we have to get in the prayer closet

HOW CAN GOD GIVE YOU A PASSION FOR SOULS AND YOU DON'T HAVE PASSION FOR GOD. PRAYER IS THE KEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can we just sit awhile in prayer to hear what God says. Prayer is not a Wish list but a Will list.  Prayer is not asking for what I wish God will do, but what I will God to do, because thy kingdom come, thy will be done! Thy will be done Thy will be done Lord…..we have placed our wants in front of God and not his Will…

Don't want part of his glory, but the whole glory of God! Like never before we must come together in prayer (personally and then corporately)
How do we expect something from God that we don’t qualify for? Its something when you know your approved by God
God’s will be done in______________________life. You defer the problem, when you don’t come with a worshipful attitude….
We are so distracted that we become less dominant in the world, when we should actually become more dominant.
Until we return to a consistent prayer life, the will of God will become more exposed and lubricated.

Prayer is the gateway to the will of God and is fundamental to our development.

Mark 9: 17
The type of illness is not important in the scripture
the issue is that something happened within the community that the church could not handle. they walked with Jesus but did not put themselves in a place where they KNEW JESUS….
The disciples could not fix the problem, so they found Jesus, and he healed the problem!

What is the church doing? How can you be in a position that you are not qualified for?
We have apostles, preachers, pastors galore, why are we not able to fulfill the purpose of the church.
The Fundamental issues is that  the church is trying to imitate the world; the church  lacks standards.
When you pull out a  bible in the natural, the devil runs in the spirit! Can you imagine what happens when you pray?
God is not going to turn it around, until we turn our plates down and pray! We have to pray!

John 14:12
Greater works shall you do because Jesus goes unto his father.
The agreement is that we cant do anything without God.
You can't do greater things by yourself.

Mark 9:21, 29
And he said unto them, this kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

The disciples could not heal people because they were not on the right  level. Prayer is the key and prayer must be done in agreement! The enemy gets everyone to be disconnected because disunity destroys agreement. God wants unity. Faithfulness is the key.

IT'S TIME TO GROW
Scripture Reading 1 Corinthians 3:1-6

1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

In order to be a successful church all aspects of  our lives must grow, develop, and make progress. In other words a stagnant church is a dead church!

All of God’s actions in your life are purposeful, intentional and not accidental. Therefore all areas of Timbrel must grow and produce fruit. In the text, Paul acknowledges and points out that people within the church are not growing. He uses the natural to outline a spiritual concept.

All babes must meet certain developmental  benchmarks in order to  proceed to the next set of stages. it would be socially and behaviorally unacceptable for a 10 year old to wear diapers. Certain behaviors which were acceptable as a babe, is no longer excusable as adults. In the text, Paul is conveying that the church is currently choking on meat, when they should be able to digest it properly.

Its time to grow and shift our behaviors. Time to put away childish things and become mature in the ways of God.

People will never change, until they become dissatisfied with their current situation or way of functioning.

Why don’t babies eat meat?
1. Without teeth, babies will choke.
2. Babes are  still-developing their digestive system.
3. Babies have limited enzyme production, which is necessary for the digestion of foods.

Some people like the status-quo and struggle with Fear . Some people won't align themselves with the will of the Lord. Some people are comfortable and celebrate normality

BUT Paul proclaimed that it is our reasonable sacrifice to overcome fear, complacency, laziness, doubt or any other stronghold that would prevent us from fulfilling the perfect will of God in our lives!

Proclamation- Timbrel  Church will NOT FEAR, but will walk in the authority of God.

Proclamation- Timbrel Church will NOT CHOKE, but will develop in accordance with God’s plan and purpose for our lives.

Proclamation- Timbrel Church WILL MEET DEVELOPMENTAL BENCHMARKS and will grow strong teeth in order to effectively digest the word of God as adults and not babes.

1 Corinthians 3:2
2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready.

Grow up now, because God is seeking a mature people; people who is about his fathers business.

1 Corinthians 3:3
3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans?

In the scripture Paul challenges the people to put away division and to walk in unity. This transformation can only be accomplished first in the spiritual realm and then in the natural.

It’s time that we give GOD as much devotion and faithfulness as we gave the devil when we were in the world and of the world!

It’s time to get serious and complete God’s assignment in the earth!

We must transform into a church who loves the word. We must operate in the same spirit that David did; thy word have I hid in my heart, so I wont sin against God! We must be a church that is hungry for the word of God.

Timbrel:
1. Won't Choke
2. Won't Fear
3.  Will develop teeth to digest the word of God
4. Will handle and execute the Vision

It’s time to handle your business, as it relates to the things of God! Timbrel is not here on a church assignment, but a Kingdom mission!

1. Timbrel will be an INTENTIONAL CHURCH !

2. Punctuality is an indicator of excellence!

3. Walking with GOD IS NOT OPTIONAL! This walk is not multiply chose; God is mandatory!

The mission is your Job description! If you don’t know your MISSION, you are MISSING OUT

We must move from a GOOD church to a GREAT church; this is accomplished through EVANGELISM…...WINNING SOULS FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD

THIS CHURCH IS NOT DEAD, BUT ALIVE!

WORSHIP is good but now it’s time for WORK-SHIP

Bring your professional mind to ministry

Come to work, Motivated, Excited and Inspired

2014 is the year of change and increase

TYPES OF GROWTH
1. Personal Growth
2. Public Growth
3. Internal & External Growth

WATCH YOUR VISION!

Vision and mission statements are powerful tools to the leader who understands that God is intentional about direction and destiny. No one leaves their home to go somewhere without having a plan or a destination in mind. It is this sense of direction that vision and mission brings to the excellence of leadership. It is what reminds us each and every day that what we do has been spoken by God and is being sustained by God. Without having to rethink the process an effective, understandable and recognizable vision and mission keeps the movement of ministry in the direction of success. Every step we take as leaders is a step in the direction of that destiny. If you cannot get there, take a step towards there! The vision says there is a plan for what we are doing. The plan reminds us of the great work that God has entrusted into our hands. It reminds us that the responsibilities we have agreed to and the commitments we have made to ourselves, to the vision and to God. With an effective vision in place it allows everything we do to be confirmed and decided based upon that plan. An effective vision and mission is the foundation upon which everything else is built. When my wife and I were building our first home we spent a considerable amount of time talking with the builder. One of the things that became clear was that the foot print or foundation of the house had to be well thought out because whatever was going to built would have to exist upon that foot print. So, the foundation had to be built with progression and growth in mind because everything that came after would have to exist within that framework. In other words, no foundation to support a future extension such as a sun room, then no sun room! All of the strategies, effort and activities are directed by the prevailing vision and plan. Every decision then will and must line up with the overall plan and vision. This really helps with avoiding strategies and goals that do not marry the vision. When there is no vision then everything looks good to do. We can best choose where to devote our efforts, time and prayer with a clear, articulated vision. This allows ministries to pursue strategies and activities that lead the organization forward and avoid devoting resources to strategies that do not. Effective leaders understand the power of coaching. Just as a successful coach has a vision for putting a team together with a game plan for success, so is the leader who understands the full impact of moving a vision forward. Shepherding and coaching have many similarities which an effective leader can utilize in managing the ministry environment. The idea of coaching suggests that there is a defined objective in mind, a game that must be won. How we win is by developing strategies that achieve that goal. The effective leader must employ different tactics and plans to advance the vision of ministry. Unfortunately we are called to play several roles all at the same time which can be difficult to handle. The vision must be coached and those that God has assigned for us to lead must be shepherded. One of the challenges is managing the gift and the gift carrier all at the same time. God has gifted us all, and the gifts are driven by the power of God and the will of God for our lives. When the gift-carrier does not entirely yield themselves to the governance of God, and the leading of the Holy Spirit, it becomes a battle field. While every leader desires to utilize the gift, the matching of the right gift and the right person remains the challenge. The gift brings effectiveness, organization and advancement. The person can bring selfishness, egotism and attitudinal indifference. When we observe Jesus, the gift and the gift carrier compliment the will of God. The personality and the person aligned to submit to the Father to accomplish the foreordained plan. When the gift matches the personality of the gift giver, this becomes an effective coaching scenario.
